Nigerian Phone Numbers
Prefixes For All Nigerian Phone Numbers: Recently, I had issues identifying the Networks that owns specific numbers that call me. Some prefix of these numbers appears so strange that at times I find it challenging to pick up the calls. I used to think that I was alone on this until I heard a group of persons talking about this. Lol, how surprised I was. This article contains a list of Phone numbers in Nigeria and their corresponding prefixes like 0703, 0802 etc. Does this number 0818… belong to MTN, Airtel, 9Mobile or Glo? Which Network does a Nigerian Phone Number belong to? This article seeks to address the above questions. So without expending more time, here is the comprehensive list of all Nigerian phone number prefixes and their corresponding networks / ISPs.
Just last week, a number starting with 08105 just called me, and I was sceptical about picking up. I asked myself ‘08105 is what network?’. Later, I decided to pick up my phone to call the customer care lines of each of these Nigerian networks to inquire who amongst them owned the 0810 sets of phone numbers. Luckily, MTN NG was the 1st I called, and they immediately confirmed that it was theirs. (Glad I didn’t have to call all of them)
To help you avoid this kind of stress, I compiled the list of all Nigerian phone numbers, their corresponding prefixes with the Network providers that own them. I hope you find it useful.

WHAT IS A PHONE NUMBER PREFIX?
You might have wondered within yourself what the phrase ‘phone number prefix’ means. It simply means the first four sets of numbers that you see at the beginning of every phone number, which is used to identify a particular network service provider, against the others. Example 0703-970-2667. The first four numbers of this number are the prefix, and it tells us that the number is an MTN number.
