To be qualified for the upgrade, the candidates must meet the following requirements and criteria;

- The upgrade can only be done within the same year the candidate wrote the exam.
- The candidate must have one of the following qualifications; JUPEB, IJMB, NCE, ND, HND, B.Sc. and RN or RM.
