Practice Your Skills
To improve your level of teaching, you must practice. Since this is a profession that involves passing knowledge, learning how to do that seamlessly is a unique feature. Consider working with willing family members and friends to achieve this.
Start by training your volunteer student a subject they find difficult or are not familiar with. You should make sure to explain it to them in a way that they will understand. When you constantly help them study through your classes, it can assist your personal development.

Start With Gaining Professional Experience
It can be quite difficult to gain quality experience as a teacher in a school if you do not have at least a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) qualification. However, it is not impossible. One of the ways you can gain professional experience is through volunteering.
Many NGOs can help you achieve your aim as you can liaise with primary or secondary schools (depending on the level you’re interested in) to teach their students.
Another option is through tutoring. If you have a keen interest in making people understand difficult topics and subjects, becoming a private tutor is a great way to go.
Concerned about where to start and how to get clients? One of the easiest ways is to teach a student or students living in your area. You can also register under a tutoring platform like Superprof to access students you can teach.
Starting this academic profession requires regular practising. It’s a great idea to try out one of these before starting your teacher training. While this may seem inconsequential at first, the results are amazing when you put in your effort.

After your graduation, you’ll be required to go for a one-year compulsory youth service.
Students who have graduated with an education degree in one of the many universities in Nigeria may be privy to teach senior secondary schools during their mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
